Black Apple Hard Cider is a cidery founded in Springdale, AR. Their handcrafted ciders are made of the highest quality ingredients that are all natural. Their target audience ranges from young to middle aged adults whom they attract by curating an all-inclusive brand identity.


The result is a design that is traditional and bold, yet bright and exciting. The slab-serif typeface calls back to vintage breweries, which such aesthetics are persistent amongst their physical taproom in Springdale. In addition, the form of the typeface closely resembles the curvature and seed of an apple, which further was customized to make the resemblance more apparent. While many alcoholic beverage companies generally target older adults through their sophisticated and solemn appeal, Black Apple aims for a diverse range of customers. The color palette is vibrant and stretches across many hues to highlight the products they sell and the environment and community they intend to build.
